On her Life;
Nassma is an award-winning writer and producer currently residing between the UAE and the UK. She has recently completed her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. When she isn't creating cartoons and developing exciting content, you can find her people-watching in a cosy coffee shop with a trusty notebook, a steaming cup of coffee in hand, and jazz blasting through her airpods! Nassma is a passionate advocate of strong female leads in media, and long overdue ethnic representation, particularly in Young Adult fiction.

On her Career;
Nassma has been a Television Animation Producer, Scriptwriter, and Story Developer for the past 10 years and has worked with the likes of WarnerMedia, Cartoon Network and the BBC on producing content for kids 7-12 as well as preschoolers. Her main focus has been on Middle Eastern audiences due to her cultural ties and desire to build a sustainable industry that is impactful for children from the region. She has also recently focused her efforts on becoming a literary academic with a PhD on the horizon.

On her Writing;
Nassma has been writing ever since high school; when her favourite English teacher persuaded her to share her short stories and poetry in class. This love has remained with her ever since and manifested itself into a full-time career!
She is fascinated by the weird, wonderful and mystical. Her main expertise lies in Children's and YA fiction with a focus on fantasy and sci-fi. Nassma has also graduated from the UCLA writing program, and Harvard Teaching For Higher Education, and has taught sessions on scriptwriting & story development at UAE based academies and international book fairs.
